DLTK's Bible Activities for Kids
Bible Readings
Contributed by
The custom chore charts on the site have been used by quite a number of our viewers as Bible readings
charts -- simply type the child(ren)'s names as the Column labels in step 6 and the Bible passages as the Row labels in step 7. These custom
charts allow you to prepare charts for any lessons you're working on with your kids or Sunday School class.
I was thinking that since this is such a popular time of year for Bible readings, I would make up a specific chore chart suggestion for your use – the templates are found at the bottom of this page. I’ve also made up a specific chore chart for Christmas. The custom charts are still available for you if you’d like to continue the idea throughout the year.
- Christmas Bible Readings Chart:
- each star represents a different Bible reading for Christmas:
- Isaiah Chapter 7-10
- Isaiah Chapter 11-14
- Luke Chapter 1
- Matthew Chapter 1
- Luke Chapter 2
- Matthew Chapter 2
note: the Isaiah chapters are from the old testament and foretell the coming of Jesus.
- each star represents a different Bible reading for Christmas:
- hang the chart on the refrigerator so that you can place magnets onto the stars as the readings are completed or print the B&W version and allow the children to color the stars as they complete their readings
- When the child has completed all of the readings you can clip off the "I'm a Christian Super Star!" rectangle and treat it as an award or a "coupon".
Templates:
- Close the template window after printing to return to this screen.
- Set page margins to zero if you have trouble fitting the template on one page (FILE, PAGE SETUP or FILE, PRINTER SETUP in most browsers).
