GUARD YOUR FAMILY

And he arose, and came to his father.  But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

Luke 15: 20
King James Version

This afternoon, I watched a family DVD that was given to me as a gift.  The dad in the movie made a career change, and the mother went away for a few days to work on publicizing her book.  However, the few days turned into two weeks and the dad was left to take care of the family plus work.

What had started out to be a happy family that played and conversed together turned into a sad family full of anger and loneliness.  In the end the young boy ran away and all the family went looking for him.  The dad finally found him on a train going back to the town where they had lived when they were so happy.

We need to guard our family because satan will use anything to keep us apart.  Sometimes, both parents have to work to pay the bills but the parents still need to spend quality time with each other and with their children.  We need to stop and hug our children and listen to their hearts and not just their words.

Have you allowed satan to come between you and your family?  Are you constantly at work and never see your children or spouse?  If so, you need to pray and ask God to help you find time for one another.
