Crocheted Angel

Materials:
- Sport weight yarn (approx. 30 yds for angel, for gown and wings: 3/4 ounce),
 - Small amount of embroidery floss for eyes,
 - Small amount of Black Luster Sheen for Wig,
 - C Hook for Angel,
 - F Hook for gown and halo,
 - Polyester stuffing,
 - Yarn needle,
 - Sculpture needle
 
Instructions:
HEAD AND BODY 
Rnd l: (Right side): With C hook, ch 2, 8sc in second ch from hook; do not 
join, place marker. 
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around: 16 sc 
Rnd 3: (Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around: 24 sc 
Rnd 4-8: Sc in each sc around. 
Rnd 9: (Skip next sc, sc in next 2 sc) around: 16 sc 
Stuff head firmly. 
Rnd 10: (skip next sc, sc in next sc) around: 8 sc 
Rnds 11 and 12: Sc in each sc around. 
Rnd 13: 2 sc in each sc around: 16 sc 
Rnds 14-21: Sc in each sc around. 
Rnd 22: (skip next wc, sc in next sc) around: 
Stuff body firmly. 
Rnd 23: (skip next sc, sc in next sc) around: finish off. 
ARM (Make 2) 
Rnd l (right Side): Ch 2, 6 sc in second ch from hook; do not join, place 
marker 
Rnds 2-8: Sc in each sc around; do not finish off. 
HANDS AND FINGERS 
To work Finger, ch 3, slip st in third ch from hook. 
Sc in next 3 sc, skip next 2 sc, slip st from wrong side in next sc, work Finger 
4 times; working in chs at base of each Finger, skip first Finger, pull up a 
loop in each of next 3 Fingers, insert hook from wrong side in last sc worked, 
YO and draw through st and all 4 loops on hook, work Finger, slip st from wrong 
slip in next sc; finish off. 
LEG (Make 2) 
Rnd l: (Right side): With smaller size hook, ch 2, 9 sc in second ch from 
hook; do not join, place marker. 
Rnd 2-9: sc in each sc around. 
Rnd 10: (skip next sc, sc in next 2 sc) around: 6 sc 
Rnd 11: Sc in each sc around. 
Rnd 12: 2 DC in each of next 3 sc, sc in next 3 sc: 9 sts.  To decrease, pull up 
a loop in next 2 sts, YO and draw through all 3 loops on hook. 
Rnd 13: Working in Back Loops Only sc in next sc, decrease 3 times, stuff 
lightly, decrease; slip st in next sc, finish off leaving a long end for sewing. 
Sew foot closed.
ASSEMBLY
Sew Arms to body, inserting needle through Arms between Rnds l and 2 and 
through Body between rnds 14 and 15. Attach legs in same manner, inserting 
needle between Rnds l and 2 on Legs and between Rnds 6 and 7. Add french knot 
eyes allowing needle to pass between Rnds 6 and 7. 
WIG 
Rnd l: Ch 4, join.  Ch 3, 19 dc in ring. (20 dc) 
Work in back loops for next 4 rounds. 
Rnd 2: Ch 2 dc in same dc, dc next 3 dc, 2 dc next sc, around. 
Rnd 3: Ch 3, ( dc next 4 dc, 2 dc next dc) around. 
Rnd 4: Ch 10, sc same dc, (ch 10 sc next dc) around. 
Rrnd 6-8: Ch 2, sc in unworked loop of dc row above (Ch 10, sc next sc)
around. 
Sew to head of Angel then frame the face by pulling down loops and tacking to 
head.
GOWN
YOKE 
With Jaimie and F Hook, ch 17 loosely. 
Row l (right Side): Sc in second ch from hook and in ch across. 16 sc. 
Note: Loop a short piece of yarn around any stitich to mark last row. 
Row 2: Ch (counts as first dc, now and throughout) turn; dc in same st, 2 dc in 
each sc across: 32 dc. 
Row 3: (dividing row): Ch l, turn; working in Back loops onlys, sc in first 4 
dc, ch 4 loosely, skip next 9 dc (armhole), sc in next 6 dcd, ch 4 loosely, skip 
next
9 dc (armhole), sc in last 4 dc; do not finish off: 14dc. 
SKIRT 
To work Picot, ch 3, slip st in top of sc just made 
Row l: Ch 4,turn; working both loops and in each ch across, skip first sc, sc in 
next sc, work Picot, *ch 3, skip next st, sc in next st, work Picot; repeat from 
* across: 11 spaces 
Row 2 and 3: Ch 4, turn; sc in first sp, work Picot, ch 3, sc in next sp, work 
Picot, *ch 3, sc in next sp, work Picto; repeat from * across. Begin working in 
rounds. 
Rnd l: Ch 5, turn:sc in first sp, work Picot, *ch 4, sc in next sp, work Picot: 
repeat from * across, ch l, dc in first ch of beginning ch-5 to form last loop; 
12 loops. 
Rnd 2-8: Ch l, do not turn; sc in same loop, work Picot. *ch 4, sc in next loop, 
work Picot; repeat from * around, ch l, dc in first sc from last loop. 
Rnd 9: Ch l, sc in same loop, ch 4 (sc in next loop, ch 4) around join with slip 
st in first sc. 
Rnd 10: Slip st in first loop, ch l, (3sc, ch 3, 3 sc) in same loop and in each 
loop around; join with slip st in first sc, finish off. 
SLEEVE 
Rnd l: With right side facing and working in free loops of ch-4 and in Back 
Loops only of unworked dc on row 2 of Yoke, join yarn with sc in first sc in 
next 3 chs and in side of next sc, ch 2, sc in next dc, ch 2, (skip next dc, sc 
in next dc, ch 2) 4 times, sc in side of next sc; join with slip st to first sc; 
6 ch-2sps. 
Rnd 2: Ch l, sc in the same st, (ch 2, skip next sc, sc in next sc) twice, ch 2 
(sc in next sc) twice, ch 2 (sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 2) 6 times, sc in next sc, 
ch 2; join with slip st to first sc: 10 sps with slip st to first sc. 
Rnds 3-7: Slip st in next ch-2 sp, ch l, sc in same sp, ch 2 (sc in next ch 
2-sp, ch 2) around; join with slip st to first sc. 
Rnd 8: Slip st in first ch-2 ap, ch l, (2 sc, ch 3, ch2) in same sp and in each 
in
Ch-2 sp around; join with slip st to first sc, finish off. Repeat for second 
Sleeve.
NECK EDGING AND TIES 
Ch 30; with wrong side facing and working in free loops of beginning ch, sc 
in each ch across, ch 30; finish off. 
YOKE RUFFLE AND TIES 
Row l: Ch 30; with right side facing, working in free loops on row 2 and 
having Yoke toward you, sc in first dc, * ch 3, skip next dc, sc in next dc; 
repeat from * across to last dc, leave last dc unworked: 15 ch-3 sps. 
Row 2: Ch 4, turn;sc in first ch-3 sp, (ch 3, sc in next ch 3 sp) across. 
Row 3: Ch l, turn; (2 sc, ch, 2 sc) in each ch-3 sp across, slip st evenly 
across end of rows to Row l of ruffle, ch 30; finish off. 
WINGS 
FIRST SIDE 
Ch 10; join with slip st to form a ring. 
Row 1: (right side): Ch 3, 8 dc in ring: 9 dc.  Note: Mark last row as right 
side. 
Row 2: Ch 3, turn;dc in same st, *ch l, skip next dc. 2 dc in next dc; repeat 
from * across: 10 dc. 
Row 3: Ch 3, turn;dc in next dc, (ch l, dc in nest 2 dc) across. 
Row 4: ch 3, turn; 2 dc in next c, * ch l, dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc; 
repeat from * across: 15 dc. 
Row 5: Ch 3, turn; dc in next 2 dc, (ch l, dc in next 3 dc across; finish off. 
Note: I starch the wings only. 
SECOND SIDE 
Row 1: with right side facing, join yarn with slip st in ring;ch 3, 8 dc in 
ring:
9dc. 
Row 2-5: work same as First Side; do not finish off. 
EDGING 
Ch l, do not turn; working across end of rows, sc in last dc on Row 5. + 
(work Picot sc in top of dc on next row) 4 times; working across Row 5, sc in 
first dc, dc in next dc, ch 3, work picot st, (dc in next dc, work picot st, dc 
in next 2 dc, picot stitch in last dc made) across to last dc +, sc in last dc, 
repeat from + to + once; join with slip st to first sc, finish off. 
WIG 
Row l: Ch 4, join.  Ch3, 19 dc in ring; (20 dc). Work in back loops next 4 
rounds
Row 2: Ch 2, dc next 3 dc, 2 dc next, around. 
Row 3: Ch 2, dc next 4 dc, 2 dc next dc, around 
Row 4: Dc around. 
Row 5: Ch 10 sc in same dc, ch 10 sc next dc around. 
Row 6: Ch 2, sc in unworked loop of dc in row above, (Ch 10, sc next sc) around. 
Row 7: Ch 2, sc in unworked loop of dec in row above, (Ch l0, sc next sc) 
around. 
Sew wig to head framing face by pulling down loops and tacking to head. 
Place Gown on Angel and tie Neckline tie in a bow. Working between dc on Row l, 
slip end of Tie below center dc on each side of Wings and tie in a bow.
