An Encouragement Ministry

"How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him.”

Acts 10: 38
King James Version

If ever we needed an encouragement ministry, it is now. Jesus had the first encouragement ministry. He not only had the first encouragement ministry, He is the great Encourager. All He ever did was encourage people and tell them how much He loved them. I have received over thirty emails in the last two weeks from people who are lonely, discouraged, defeated and carrying heavy burdens. We must carry on the ministry that Jesus started when He was here on earth.

Everyone one of us should not only encourage everyone we come in contact with; we also need to pick one person and become that person’s encourager on a daily basis. Isn’t that what Jesus does for us? He encourages us every day through His unconditional love and forgiveness. When we encourage someone, we are encouraging Jesus. He said “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these, my brethren, ye have done it unto me” (Matthew 25:40).

While we are to be encouragers to each other, only Jesus can look into the hidden corners of our hearts and see the tears, frustrations, heartaches, loneliness, terror and agony that we keep hidden from people. Only Jesus can heal a broken heart and restore our joy. I can tell you from my own personal experience that if you will keep your focus on Jesus and put Him first in your life before everything and everyone you will have a peace that the world can’t give and the world can’t take away. Are you an encourager for Jesus?
